Welcome to the Elsevier Foundation 2014 grant application site
The Elsevier Foundation provides grants to institutions around the world, with a focus on support for the world’s libraries and for scholars in the early stages of their careers. Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded more than 80 grants worth millions of dollars to non-profit organizations working in these fields.
For 2014, we are seeking new grant proposals for our New Scholars and Innovative Libraries in Developing Countries programs. Grants will be awarded in December 2014 and provide one, two and three year awards between $5,000 to $50,000 per year for a total maximum of $100,000. Forty shortlisted applications will be invited to submit full proposals by September 3rd. Applications must be submitted online through this website to be considered.
Round 1 Applications: May 6th - June 17th [CLOSED]
Preliminary, Round 1 submissions should be focused and well-defined, and address the following elements through the online application. In the second half of June, you will be notified whether your proposal will go through to the second round.
Per program, forty shortlisted applicants are invited to submit a full proposal will be notified in early July and asked to submit full proposals.

Step 3 Upload all application material on the site as per the instructions you'll see when you log in. After completing your application form, you will receive an e-mail confirming that we have received your application.
